Samsung Q70C 4K TV Review

In my opinion, any Samsung TV you choose will be a big upgrade from most TVs. These TVs feature technology that improves image quality and increases color brightness and contrast, and the Samsung Q70C 4K TV (coming soon) is no exception. This is one of Samsung’s newest 2023 TVs, and to test it out, I moved my own QLED TV out of the living room and into the 55-inch Q70C.While my QLED has a Mini-LED backlight, this TV uses dual-LED technology, but I was impressed with its brightness and color. The quantum dot layer adds depth and improves image quality in a way that most LED TVs can’t.
I tested the 55-inch Samsung Q70C NeoQLED TV, but it’s also available in 65-, 75- and 85-inch models. It’s very thin and light, only 26 millimeters (1 inch) wide, and light enough that I could take it out of the box myself. With the stand, it weighs only 21.4 kg (47 lbs). Here are its main features.

4K QLED TV with dual led backlighting and up to UHD dimming
AirSlim design with Slim Simple Plus stand
Quantum dot technology with 100% color volume
Color accurate and Pantone certified
Quantum Processor 4K and Quantum HDR optimize image quality and enhance contrast ratio
AI upscaling for HD and SD video
20 Watt 2CH speakers give you 3D Surround sound
Samsung Smart Center gives you voice control, various streaming apps, and control of your smart devices
Solar battery remote charging via sunlight so you don’t need to replace batteries
Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ and 4K/120Hz deliver smooth gaming performance
7.8ms input latency, ultra-wide game view, ALLM, Dynamic Black EQ, and FreeSync for advanced professional gaming
Four HDMI 2.1 inputs, two USB inputs, Ethernet and optical outputs
The Samsung Q70C is a very good looking TV. I like the AirSlim design. It is only 1 inch wide and comes with a Slim Simple Plus stand. It feels very sturdy on the stand and I like the design of its two stands much better than the computer display style stands I’ve seen on other new Samsung TVs. It’s nice to have the stand, but I think for a TV this thin, I’d opt to mount it on the wall. If you use a flat, low-profile stand and use ambient mode, the TV looks like a picture frame.
